Before you start strength training, there are four things you definitely need to consider.
Lifting heavy things and building muscle mass are incredibly important, especially as we pass into mid-adulthood and beyond. If you’ve been considering starting a strength program, check out my list of four things to look out for.
I shared it on The Paleo Mom’s website, where I was recently a guest blogger.
Yes, a little but may be I am not challenging myself. Plan to make my strength training workouts a lot more challenging. Will report soon.
I used to do pilates for 6 hours a week for years, finally I got fed up with not seeing any physical changes and progression in my capabilities. I have started a weight lifting program in May this year and I have never looked back since, this sport is so much more in tune with my personal preference. It is amazing the progression you make, even celebrating minor victories as perfect form during a squat.
Hi Clara,
That. Is so much awesome. 😉
I started a program in November 2013 when I was 58. I am still at it today and I believe it has made a huge difference in the quality of my life. I work mostly with two coaches and my workouts focus on strength, power, balance/stability, and HIIT. I work out at goPerformance & Fitness in Clarksburg, MD

I am starting slowly and combining it with swiming. I am eating right and combining tips from Paleo while staying on a wheat free diet for a month now. from Jan 2014 till today lost 52 lbs. and since a month ago I’ve lost 5-7 lbs depending on the day.
Awesome! 🙂
