Episode 1 of Harder to Kill Radio is finally here, and in it, I’m filling you in about why this isn’t just another food podcast.
The idea to start a podcast has been brewing in my mind for months and months, and learning how all the technology worked was a bit of a learning curve. There are so many podcasts out there now, but I’m confident that Harder to Kill Radio offers something different than others in the paleo world.
My goal is to find the most fascinating people in the world who are dedicating their lives to building unbreakable humans through nutrition, fitness, and mindset. And then, to share their secrets with you so you can apply their expertise to your life. It’s like having your own personal mentors to help you dig into all aspects of building a healthy lifestyle.
In this episode, I’m chatting directly to you, but starting tomorrow—with the release of episode 2—I’ve got some stupendous guests sharing their knowledge and expertise with you.

YES! I don’t listen to many paleo podcasts (*gasp*), but I’m definitely adding this to my list. I’m so glad you’re making it about MORE than just food (and paleo in general). I can’t wait to hear Episode 2 – Melissa is one of my favorite paleo people!!!

I just listened to today’s Fierce Love Friday- Alcohol and Social Pressure episode!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! It’s so refreshing to hear your thoughts on this topic. I chose to become alcohol free August 19th, 2017 and it’s one of the best things I’ve ever done. It has been challenging to explain to people why I don’t drink anymore. In many of my friend’s and family’s eyes they don’t seem to think I have a problem. I never drank super often but when I did, I drank it all. After drinking a bottle of tequila by myself while on vacation last year, it became pretty apparent to me that I needed to ditch the booze. I am so grateful that I did and that I have been able to resist the peer pressures. Alcohol just doesn’t serve me at all. I honestly believe that it doesn’t serve anybody. Period. But trying to tell anybody that is like bringing up politics. People lose their minds at the suggestion of not having alcohol. So, I just keep my opinion and decision to myself unless somebody asks me directly and even then, you cannot make a big effing deal about it. You are 100% right about that. Also, being a bartender has brought it’s own complications. When we have our shift drinks, I always just get a soda water with lime and I think most of my co-workers still have no idea that I don’t drink. Every now and then I look at a bottle of kettle one and think, “boy would that be nice,” but then I remember how far I’ve already come and know that it’s just not worth it. At no point in my drinking career did alcohol ever really make me feel good. If I had one drink I’d end up being sleepy. If I drank all the drinks then I’d be hungover. It’s a lose/lose situation if you ask me. Anyway, I just really love all of your fierce love Fridays! So far, every single one has really spoken to me! I love your message and what your doing! It’s really helping me in my own personal journey! Thank you! 🙂
Hi Mahria…thank YOU for sharing your experiences, thoughts, and perspectives. One thing I know for sure is that the more willing we are to talk about these issues, the less alone people will feel. It’s not always comfortable or easy to talk about, but it’s so important. Thank you for listening and for stopping by to start this dialogue.
Energy tips for empaths was super informative. I need to go back and listen to the sensitive episode! I thought it quite interesting the idea that we shouldn’t let people take advantage bc it teaches them that it’s ok to take advantage… I’m totally an empath, and that statement is phrased to be palatable to people like me and you which cracks me up.
My husband who’s not at all an empath would say we shouldn’t let people take advantage bc we have value and we’re not to be taken advantage of!! Period. But we empaths have SUCH a hard time doing things for the sake of us, we often have to couch things in terms of doing things for others. I just wish I could get better at NOT absorbing emotions, as it’s exhausting. I also am super influenced by sounds, smells, auras if you will. Wish I was more oblivious!!! Thanks for your work. Love the Fierce Love Fridays!
Thank you so much for sharing Jen! You may also be a HSP (highly sensitive person). Check that out!
